
OUR PROGRAMS
PAʻI Foundation provides programming that serves our mission of preserving and perpetuating Native Hawaiian arts and culture for future generations.
Each program was developed with these native Hawaiian values in mind: Akahai (kindness, grace), lōkahi (unity, harmony), ʻoluʻolu (agreeableness, gentleness), haʻahaʻa (humility, empathy), and ahonui (patience, waiting for the moment).

PROJECT HANA NOʻEAU
Project Hana Noʻeau (PHN) is an 11 month long program that focuses on providing training, mentorship, and resources to Native Hawaiian artists and businesses to further their professionalism and business ethics.

MA KA HANA KA ʻIKE
Ma Ka Hana Ka ʻIke supports Native Hawaiian artists, cultural bearers and practitioners through award grants focused on expanding knowledge and skills in cultural practices, developed through an ʻōiwi lens.

INTERCULTURAL LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE
The Intercultural Leadership Institute (ILI) is a fellowship program for culturally diverse artists and culture bearers that deepens connections for strengthened emergent and authentic leadership.

NĀNĀ I KE KUMU
Nānā I Ke Kumu is a program that features Artists in Residence and an interactive Cultural Workshop Series led by notable Native Hawaiian master artists and cultural practitioners.

MAMO: MAOLI ARTS MOVEMENT
The MAMo: Maoli Arts Movement program is a celebration of native Hawaiian art and culture, showcased through an annual fashion show, art gallery exhibition, and marketplace.

PUA ALIʻI ʻILIMA
Pua Aliʻi ʻIlima is a hālau hula (school of traditional Hawaiian dance) that provides training for a select group of student keiki (children), teens, and adults as well as provides introductory hula instruction through workshops and classes.
