In this class haumana will learn about haku mele from acclaimed composer and musician, Kuana Torres Kahele. There might also be a kanikapila session during the workshop!

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kuana Torres Kahele is an award-winning musician, vocalist, songwriter, and cultural practitioner from Hawaiʻi Island. A multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner, he is known for his distinctive falsetto, masterful storytelling, and ability to bridge traditional Hawaiian music with contemporary expression. Through his acclaimed music, including the Hawaiian Music for the Hawaiian Islands series, Kuana celebrates the people, places, and stories of Hawaiʻi while honoring the ʻike of kūpuna and inspiring future generations.
