ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Join artist Brook Parker for a creative painting workshop inspired by the iconic mahiʻole, the feathered helmets worn by Hawaiian aliʻi (royalty). This guided session invites participants of all skill levels to explore color, form, and cultural inspiration in a relaxed, supportive environment. Each session will start with a talk story session with Brook, and he will give a little history and moʻolelo (story) about the painting subject.
Participants will paint their own mahiʻole on an 11" x 14" canvas, learning basic painting techniques and composition along the way. All materials are provided.
This workshop is the first in a series of four. If attendees attend all workshops, they will walk away with a quadriptych/tetraptych.
